Industrialisation and cost reduction
From prototype to series production with BOMs, suppliers and costs under control.
What it includes
- Structured, costed bills of materials
- Supplier RFQs and quote comparison
- Selection and management of Italian and foreign suppliers
- Design for manufacturing: draft, wall thickness, part count, assembly
- Cost analysis of an existing product and targeted redesign
- Part numbering and technical data in PDM, ERP and databases
When you need it
- The product works but costs too much
- Moving from prototype to series production
- Changing tooling, extrusion or electronics supplier
- The engineering team has no rules for part numbering and revision control
Tools
I use software tools developed in-house to cost bills of materials and manage supplier RFQs, so every component choice is tied to its real cost.
What I don't do
I do not design moulds or tooling: the suppliers design them, and I check part feasibility with them. End-of-line testing is carried out by the manufacturer in its own production.
Do you have a luminaire to develop or to fix?
Tell me about the product and where it stands. I reply personally, with a proposal or with the questions needed to make one.
