Technical consulting on site or remotely in lighting and industrialisation: optimising production processes, choosing materials and technologies, validating prototypes and supporting the test laboratory.
Costed bills of materials, supplier RFQs and quote comparison, redesign to cut the cost of an existing product. Product data organised in PDM and ERP.
Design review before laboratory testing, technical file for the EU declaration of conformity, ecodesign and energy labelling requirements.
Selection of optics and LED modules, analysis of IES and LDT files, lighting calculations in DIALux for indoor, outdoor and road applications.

In an LED luminaire every choice is linked: the heat sink depends on the driver, sealing on the optics, compliance on everything else. I handle them together.
3D and 2D CAD: Siemens NX, SolidWorks DS, Inventor Autodesk, Creo Parametric PTC, Think3 DPT, Fusion 360 Autodesk and FreeCAD. The CAD system to use is agreed together, based on the needs of the project and your company.

On request I sign a non-disclosure agreement before receiving any document.

A fixed fee on an agreed specification, with defined stages and deliverables. Suited to developing a new luminaire or a product family.
An ongoing agreement with a block of hours reserved for your company and priority response. Suited to companies that need a steady external designer without hiring.
